Vincent Lee

Victim Outreach Worker

Vince Lee was an at-risk youth who was recruited into violence prevention by men in his community that he now refers to as his mentors. He began as a Violence Interrupter for CURE Violence and brings deep personal insight and lived experience to his role as a Violence Prevention Specialist at Safe Streets Safe Neighborhoods. By turning his life around and engaging in this work for nearly five years now, Vince understands the challenges many in the community face and channels that understanding into compassionate, credible outreach.

His work centers on engaging youth, families, and formerly incarcerated individuals in St. Louis and North County. Vincent connects clients to critical wraparound services—employment, housing, utility assistance, and job certification programs—while also facilitating workshops focused on conflict resolution, life-skills development, and gun violence prevention. He is often called to intervene in volatile situations and helps guide individuals toward safer, healthier paths.

Vince is certified in Violence De-escalation, Youth Mental Health Advocacy, Financial Literacy, and CPR. He believes de-escalation is most effective when rooted in trust and relatability. What drives him is the opportunity to help others, just as mentors once helped him make a 360° change in his own life.

Vince’s mission is clear: to heal his community from the inside out—because violence is a disease, and a thriving community must be free from that harm.
